How we confirm the exact part: Part numbers on this page are as printed in Gorman-Rupp manual OM-05291-01, parts list for serial numbers 1242213 and up. Pumps with earlier serial numbers, an “N” serial suffix or a different build can use different parts, so send the serial number or a nameplate photo and we’ll confirm the right part before we quote.

Service Intervals & When to Replace

  • Daily: check general condition (temperature, noise, vibration, leaks) and pump performance (gauges, speed, flow).
  • Lubrication: check bearing and seal-cavity lubrication weekly; replace the oil annually (SAE No. 30 non-detergent oil where specified).
  • Every six months: inspect front impeller clearance (wear plate) and rear clearance (seal plate) and adjust or replace worn parts.
  • Annually: inspect the check valve, bearings, shaft deflection and pump-to-driver alignment; clean the pressure relief valve.
  • New applications: inspect wearing parts after the first 250 hours to set your wear rate. Intervals assume about 4,000 hours a year of intermittent duty; shorten them for abrasive or continuous duty.

Models

Model code: T10A60S-B. Suffixes such as /F, /FM, /WW and /WWS mark build variants (for example flanged or metric-flanged ports) that change some parts, so check the full model code and serial number on the nameplate.

Troubleshooting

Pump fails to prime

Likely cause: Not enough liquid in the casing, a contaminated or damaged suction check valve, an air leak in the suction line, or a leaking or worn seal or gasket. Action: Fill the casing, clean or replace the check valve, correct leaks and check pump vacuum; replace a leaking or worn seal or gasket.

Low flow or pressure

Likely cause: Impeller or other wearing parts worn or damaged, impeller clogged, or suction lift too high. Action: Replace worn parts and check the impeller is centred and turns freely (adjust wear plate clearance); clear debris; reduce suction lift.

Pump clogs frequently

Likely cause: Discharge flow too slow, a clogged or binding check valve, or liquid too thick. Action: Open the discharge valve fully to raise the flow rate, clean the check valve, and dilute if possible.

Excessive noise

Likely cause: Cavitation, entrained air, loose mounting, or a clogged or damaged impeller. Action: Reduce suction lift and losses, remove the air source, secure the mounting, and clear or replace the impeller.

Bearings run too hot

Likely cause: Low or incorrect lubricant, unsupported piping or a misaligned drive. Action: Check lubricant type and level, support the piping and align the drive.
