Grundfos CRI Pumps
Spare Parts for CRI Range Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the Grundfos CRI vertical multistage pump, the all-304 stainless steel CR used across Australia for clean water, RO and water treatment, washdown and light chemical duties. Every CRI from the CRI 1s to the 45 kW CRI 64 shares the CR build (impeller stack, cartridge shaft seal and standard motor), so tick what you need and we’ll match the exact kit to your nameplate (e.g. CRI 10-6).
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. Grundfos service kits are matched to pump size and stage count, so your nameplate model is all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work out the kit for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Wear Parts Kit | Neck rings, bearing rings, spacing pipes and the small hardware that wears in every CRI. Matched to your stage count. Fit it when flow or pressure drops away or at any rebuild. | |
| Chamber Stack Kit | The complete stage stack (chambers and impellers) for your exact model, e.g. CRI 10-6. The quickest fix for a heavily worn or damaged hydraulic end. | |
| Shaft Seal Kit | Balanced cartridge mechanical seal with its fitting parts (standard HQQE: SiC/SiC/EPDM; other faces and elastomers to order). Replace at the first sign of leakage at the pump head. | |
| Gasket Kit | Sleeve O-rings, flange gaskets and plug seals in EPDM or FKM. Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Ball Bearing Kit | Bearing kit for the pump end where your size uses one. We confirm the fit, or whether your pump needs one at all, from your nameplate. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Impellers | Individual impellers, with hub nut and split cone on the larger sizes. Replace if eroded, cracked or loose on the shaft. | |
| Coupling Kit | Connects the motor to the pump shaft. Replace if worn, cracked or slipping (noise, vibration). | |
| Replacement Motor | Standard Grundfos motor matched to your kW and frame size, from 0.37 to 45 kW across the range. | |
| Pump Head / Base | Top cover, motor stool or base with inlet and outlet, matched to your connection type (Flexi-clamp or flanged). | |
| Outer Sleeve & Staybolts | The pressure sleeve and tie bolts that clamp the stack, sized to your stage count. | |
| Plug & Air Vent Kit | Priming, vent and drain plugs with O-rings. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like CRI from the model on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: Grundfos CRI kits depend on pump size, stage count, shaft seal code and connection. Your nameplate carries all of it, in the model (e.g. CRI 10-6 A-FGJ-I-E-HQQE) and the product number. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct part and price for your exact pump.
Models
Spare parts are available for every CRI size in the current Grundfos Australia range. The number after the dash on your nameplate (e.g. CRI 10-6) is the stage count.

All sizes: liquid temperature −20 °C to +120 °C, standard shaft seal HQQE cartridge, IP55 motors, 50 Hz. Flexi-clamp connections need threaded adaptors. Cast iron version: see Grundfos CR; 316 stainless: see Grundfos CRN.
Troubleshooting
Pump will not start
Likely cause: no supply, a tripped motor protection or fuse, or a seized pump. Action: check the supply and reset the protection; with the power isolated, turn the shaft by hand at the coupling. A pump that won’t turn needs inspection of the impeller stack and seal.
Motor protection trips repeatedly
Likely cause: overload from a worn or rubbing stack, a failing motor bearing, a phase fault, or running well off the duty curve. Action: check the voltage on all phases and the motor current; inspect the stack and bearings; confirm the duty point suits the model.
Low flow or pressure
Likely cause: worn wear parts (neck rings and bearing rings), air in the pump, a blocked strainer, or wrong rotation. Action: vent the pump through the priming plug; clean the suction strainer; confirm rotation; if output still falls short, replace the wear parts kit or the chamber stack kit.
Noise or vibration
Likely cause: cavitation (insufficient inlet pressure), air in the pump, a worn coupling, or worn motor bearings. Action: check NPSH and inlet pressure; vent the pump; inspect the coupling and replace if worn; check the motor bearings.
Leaking at the shaft seal
Likely cause: worn or damaged seal faces, often from dry running or abrasive particles. Action: replace the cartridge shaft seal kit and renew the O-rings. Never run a CRI dry: the seal relies on the pumped liquid for cooling.
Pump runs backwards after stopping
Likely cause: a leaking or missing non-return valve on the discharge. Action: repair or replace the non-return valve. Reverse spin can damage the seal and coupling.
Leaking at the pump body
Likely cause: perished sleeve O-rings or flange gaskets, or loose staybolts. Action: fit the gasket kit and torque the staybolts evenly to Grundfos specification.
