Grundfos CRNE Pumps
Spare Parts for CRNE Range Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the Grundfos CRNE variable speed vertical multistage pump, the all-316 stainless steel CRE used across Australia for constant-pressure seawater and brackish water, RO, chemical and process duties. Every CRNE from the CRNE 1 to the 26 kW CRNE 155 pairs the CR pump end (impeller stack and cartridge shaft seal) with a Grundfos MGE motor and built-in drive, so tick what you need and we’ll match the exact part to your nameplate (e.g. CRNE 10-6).
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. Grundfos service kits are matched to pump size and stage count (and the E-motor to its kW and supply), so your nameplate model is all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work out the kit for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Wear Parts Kit | Neck rings, bearing rings, spacing pipes and the small hardware that wears in every CRNE. Matched to your stage count. Fit it when flow or pressure drops away or at any rebuild. | |
| Chamber Stack Kit | The complete stage stack (chambers and impellers) for your exact model, e.g. CRNE 10-6. The quickest fix for a heavily worn or damaged hydraulic end. | |
| Shaft Seal Kit | Balanced cartridge mechanical seal with its fitting parts (standard HQQV: SiC/SiC/FKM; other faces and elastomers to order). Replace at the first sign of leakage at the pump head. | |
| Gasket Kit | Sleeve O-rings, flange gaskets and plug seals in FKM (standard on CRNE) or EPDM. Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Ball Bearing Kit | Bearing kit for the pump end where fitted (larger CRNE sizes such as CRNE 95–155). We confirm the fit from your nameplate. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Impellers | Individual impellers, with hub nut and split cone on the larger sizes. Replace if eroded, cracked or loose on the shaft. | |
| Coupling Kit | Connects the motor to the pump shaft. Replace if worn, cracked or slipping (noise, vibration). | |
| Replacement E-Motor / Drive | The Grundfos MGE motor with integrated frequency converter, matched to your kW (0.37 to 26 kW across the CRNE range) and supply. Replace if the drive electronics or motor have failed. | |
| Pressure Sensor | The pressure sensor that controls the pump in constant-pressure mode (standard on Australian E-pumps). Replace if the display shows a sensor fault or the pressure reading is wrong. | |
| Pump Head / Base | Top cover, motor stool or base with inlet and outlet, matched to your connection type (oval or flanged). | |
| Outer Sleeve & Staybolts | The pressure sleeve and tie bolts that clamp the stack, sized to your stage count. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like CRNE from the model on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: Grundfos CRNE kits depend on pump size, stage count, shaft seal code and connection, plus the E-motor kW and supply voltage. Your nameplate carries all of it, in the model (e.g. CRNE 10-6 A-FJ-G-V-HQQV) and the product number. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct part and price for your exact pump.
Models
Spare parts are available for every CRNE size in the current Grundfos Australia range. The number after the dash on your nameplate (e.g. CRNE 10-6) is the stage count.

All sizes: liquid temperature −20 °C to +90 °C (−30 °C on CRNE 95 and CRNE 125, −40 °C on CRNE 155), standard shaft seal HQQV cartridge (SiC/SiC/FKM). IP55 MGE motor with integrated frequency converter, 1 x 200–240 V or 3 x 380–500 V, 50/60 Hz, ambient 0 to +50 °C. Australian E-pumps include a pressure sensor and cascade function as standard; 3–26 kW MGE motors add Bluetooth, Modbus RTU, Ethernet IP and Safe Torque Off. Cast iron version: see Grundfos CRE; 304 stainless: see Grundfos CRIE.
Troubleshooting
Fault or alarm on the display
Likely cause: a supply fault (over or under voltage, phase loss), a sensor signal fault, dry running, or a drive or motor fault. Action: read the alarm or warning code on the display or with Grundfos GO; check the supply on all phases and the sensor cable. A persistent drive or motor fault usually means a replacement E-motor.
Pump will not start
Likely cause: no supply, the pump set to stop, a missing start or external enable signal, or a seized pump. Action: check the supply and the operating mode on the display; with the power isolated, turn the shaft by hand. A pump that won’t turn needs inspection of the impeller stack and seal.
Pump does not hold set pressure
Likely cause: a faulty or wrongly ranged pressure sensor, a setpoint error, worn wear parts, or air in the pump. Action: check the setpoint and sensor reading against a gauge; vent the pump; if the pump runs at full speed and still falls short, replace the wear parts kit or the chamber stack kit.
Pump hunts or cycles on and off
Likely cause: a small or no pressure tank, a leaking non-return valve, or an unstable sensor signal. Action: check the tank pre-charge and the non-return valve; check the sensor and its cable; review the controller settings.
Noise or vibration
Likely cause: cavitation (insufficient inlet pressure), air in the pump, a worn coupling, or worn motor bearings. Action: check NPSH and inlet pressure; vent the pump; inspect the coupling and replace if worn; check the motor bearings.
Leaking at the shaft seal
Likely cause: worn or damaged seal faces, often from dry running or abrasive particles. Action: replace the cartridge shaft seal kit and renew the O-rings. Never run a CRNE dry: the seal relies on the pumped liquid for cooling.
Leaking at the pump body
Likely cause: perished sleeve O-rings or flange gaskets, or loose staybolts. Action: fit the gasket kit and torque the staybolts evenly to Grundfos specification.
