Product Summary

Genuine OEM spare parts for the KSB Etabloc close-coupled, single-stage volute casing pump with its IEC motor flanged straight onto the drive lantern, used across Australia for water supply, HVAC, cooling and general building services. Every Etabloc shares the same build (impeller, casing wear rings, mechanical seal on a shaft sleeve, and a stub shaft on the motor), so tick what you need and we’ll match the parts to your nameplate, such as ETB 040-025-160 GG.

Type: Close-coupled single-stage volute casing pump Build: Flanged IEC motor · EN 733 ratings · mechanical seal Fluid temperature: −30 to +140 °C (per manual)

Spare Parts List

✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB parts are matched to the pump type series, size, impeller, materials, seal code and motor, so the type designation and order number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.

SelectWear / Service ItemFunction & when to replace
Common Service Kits
Mechanical Seal (part no. 433)The single EN 12756 mechanical seal at the casing cover, first on KSB’s spares list for commissioning and for 2 years’ operation. Replace when leakage becomes visible or after dry running.
Impeller (part no. 230)The closed radial impeller, trimmed to the diameter on your nameplate. Replace if eroded, cavitated or out of balance, or when internal wear has cut the flow rate.
Casing Wear Rings (part nos. 502.01/.02)Set the clearance gap between impeller and casing. KSB says to fit new rings once the gap exceeds the maximum (0.9 mm on cast iron or bronze impellers, 1.5 mm on stainless).
Shaft Sleeve (part no. 523)The replaceable sleeve under the mechanical seal. Replace if scored or rough, and always fit a new seal at the same time.
Wear & Consumable Parts
Gaskets (part nos. 400.10/.75)Seal the casing cover to the volute casing (400.15 is added on back-to-back double seals). KSB says always fit new gaskets of the same thickness whenever the pump is opened.
Joint Rings (part no. 411)Sealing rings under the screw plugs and connections (411.15 on back-to-back double seals). Renew whenever the plugs are removed.
O-ring (part no. 412.15)Listed in KSB’s recommended spares for double mechanical seals in tandem arrangement. Check for damage and renew whenever the seal is serviced.
Double Mechanical Seal (part nos. 433.01/.02)The inboard and outboard seals on double-seal versions with barrier or quench fluid. Replace as a pair when leakage appears or the barrier fluid is contaminated.
Taper Lock Ring (part no. 515)Locks the pump shaft onto the motor shaft. Replace if damaged or if the shaft has slipped, and check it whenever the shaft is removed.
Other Core Parts
Shaft (part no. 210)The stub shaft fitted on the motor shaft that carries the impeller; KSB includes it in the 2-year spares stock. Replace if bent, worn or damaged at the impeller end.
Volute Casing (part no. 102)The radially split volute casing, with or without pump feet depending on size. Replace if eroded, corroded or cracked.
Casing Cover (part no. 161)Closes the back of the casing and houses the mechanical seal. Replace if the seal chamber is damaged or eroded.
Drive Lantern (part no. 341)Connects the pump to the flanged motor. Replace if cracked or if the spigot fits are damaged.
Intermediate Lantern (part no. 146)Spacer lantern between casing cover and drive lantern on some sizes. Replace if cracked or damaged.
Flanged Motor (part no. 801)The KSB surface-cooled IEC squirrel-cage motor (IE3, IP55) that carries the pump. Matched to your kW, poles and frame size from the nameplate.

How we confirm the exact part: KSB Etabloc parts depend on the size, impeller diameter, casing and impeller materials, seal code, shaft unit and motor fitted to your pump. The part numbers shown are KSB part numbers from the Etabloc operating manual; your nameplate carries the type designation (e.g. ETB 040-025-160 GG) and the KSB order number, which together pin down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.

Models

Parts are available across the Etabloc size range; the size code after ETB on your nameplate (suction nozzle, discharge nozzle and nominal impeller diameter, e.g. ETB 040-025-160) identifies the pump. The sizes below are those listed in the KSB operating manual.

From the KSB Etabloc operating manual general assembly drawings (section 9.1.1 bolted casing cover, 9.1.2 clamped casing cover; double mechanical seal versions in 9.1.3 and 9.1.4). Shaft units are 25, 35 or 55; the shaft unit and motor rating for your pump are on its data sheet. Some components do not apply to every size and material.

Troubleshooting

Pump delivers too little flow

Likely cause: pump or piping not fully vented, a clogged supply line or impeller, suction lift too high, or worn internal components. Action: vent and prime, clear deposits from the pump and piping, check the suction conditions, and fit new casing wear rings (502) or impeller (230) if worn.

Excessive leakage at the shaft seal

Likely cause: a worn shaft seal, unsuitable seal materials, or score marks on the shaft sleeve. Action: fit a new mechanical seal (433) and replace the shaft sleeve (523) if it is scored or rough.

Leakage at the pump casing

Likely cause: defective sealing element between volute casing and casing cover, or loose tie bolts. Action: fit a new gasket (400) between the volute casing and casing cover and re-tighten the bolts.

Vibration during operation

Likely cause: rotor out of balance, defective bearings, warped pump or piping, or flow rate too low. Action: clean and re-balance the impeller, renew defective bearings, check the pipe fixings and raise the minimum flow.

Motor overload

Likely cause: back pressure lower than specified, fluid density or viscosity higher than ordered, or speed too high. Action: re-adjust to the duty point and, if overloading continues, have the impeller turned down.

Pump will not turn or overloads on first start

Likely cause: the transport lock has not been removed from the shaft groove. Action: remove the transport lock from the shaft groove before starting.
