Product Summary
Genuine OEM spare parts for the KSB GIW LSA heavy-duty slurry pump, the single-wall, end-suction pump used for ore transport, mill discharge, cyclone feed and tailings. Tick the wet-end, shaft seal and bearing parts you need and we’ll match them to the size on your nameplate, such as LSA 8x10-32.
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB GIW slurry pump parts are matched to the pump type, size, impeller, wet-end materials, shaft seal and bearing assembly, so the type designation and serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Impeller (part no. 230) | The four-vane impeller (three-vane option for larger solids), designed for wear-resistant running in highly abrasive slurry. Replace when worn vanes and shrouds no longer give the head the duty needs. | |
| Suction Liner (part no. 13-19) | The replaceable suction-side liner facing the impeller. It can be rotated at intervals to extend wear life; replace once worn through or deeply gouged. | |
| Shaft Sleeve (part no. 524) | Fused-carbide coated sleeve that gives a hard, smooth running surface under the packing. Replace when grooved or the coating is worn, so packing life is restored. | |
| Radial & Thrust Bearings | Heavy-duty double-row spherical roller radial bearings and the separate steep-angle self-aligning thrust bearing in the split cartridge assembly. Replace on noise, heat or contaminated lubricant. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Shell (part no. 101) | The single-wall pump shell, computer designed for wear and efficiency. Replace when wear or gouging threatens the shell wall or the liner fits. | |
| Stuffing Box Wear Plate | The replaceable wear plate that maximises stuffing box life. Renew it at shaft seal overhauls or when worn. | |
| Aramid Impeller Gaskets | The two aramid gaskets that aid removal of the impeller from the shaft. Fit new ones every time the impeller is changed. | |
| Shaft Seal Packing & Throat Bushing | Packing rings and throat bushing for the standard throat bushing, KE or SpiralTrac™ stuffing box. Renew when leakage can no longer be controlled by adjustment. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Suction Plate (part no. 16-1) | Carries the suction liner. Replace if cracked or damaged at the liner fits or feet. | |
| Stuffing Box (part no. 451) | Houses the shaft seal packing and wear plate. Replace if eroded, cracked or damaged at the gland face. | |
| Shaft (part no. 210) | The stiffened shaft that improves life of the mechanical end and stuffing box. Replace if threads, bearing seats or keyway are damaged. | |
| Bearing Housing (part no. 350) | The split-cartridge housing with labyrinth seal end covers and the adjusting screw for impeller clearance. Replace if the housing or covers are damaged. | |
| Impeller Release Ring | Allows safe, easy impeller removal; standard on larger LSA sizes. Replace once cut or broken out to free a seized impeller. | |
| Pedestal (part no. 332) | Supports the shell on machined rabbet fits for alignment and carries the bearing assembly. Replace if distorted or the fits are damaged. | |
How we confirm the exact part: KSB GIW LSA parts depend on the pump group (LSA S, LSA Expanded, LHD or MHD), size, assembly number, impeller vane type, wet-end materials and shaft seal arrangement on your pump. The part numbers shown are KSB GIW part numbers from the LSA brochure materials table; your nameplate carries the size (e.g. 8x10-32) and the serial number, which together pin down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
LSA sizes read discharge x suction (in) – impeller diameter (in), e.g. 8x10-32 (200x250-810 mm); the sizes below are the LSA S range. Expanded, LHD and MHD sizes can be selected as “Not sure / other”.

LSA S Pump Range Information Table from the KSB GIW LSA brochure; where a size has several assembly numbers the pressure range covers them all. LSA Expanded sizes run up to 49.4 bar; LHD and MHD are low and medium head, high flow groups.
Troubleshooting
Low flow rate or pump losing head
Likely cause: blocked suction or discharge piping, a clogged impeller, air entrainment or worn wet-end parts. Action: clear the blockage, vent and prime the pump and piping, reset the nose gap, and fit a new impeller or liner if head can no longer be met.
Motor overload
Likely cause: high fluid density or viscosity, excessive flow from a lower-than-expected system head, or speed too high. Action: check the duty against the design, reduce speed or adjust the system, and contact us with the pump details for a review.
Bearing temperature rise
Likely cause: bearing failure, the wrong lubricant quantity or type, a misaligned unit, or hot or insulating conditions around the bearing assembly. Action: replace the bearings and test the lubricant for contamination, correct the lubricant and alignment, and clear dirt from the bearing assembly.
Excessive shaft seal leakage
Likely cause: wrong packing material or adjustment, seal water pressure too high or low, or worn shaft seal parts. Action: adjust the packing or seal water pressure, and renew the packing, shaft sleeve or other worn seal parts as needed.
Operating vibration
Likely cause: insufficient suction head (NPSHA), low-flow operation, piping resonance, a misaligned unit or worn, damaged or loose parts. Action: raise the sump level and open suction valves, avoid running below 30% of BEP flow, check pipe supports and alignment, and renew worn parts.
Pump overheating
Likely cause: running against blocked discharge or suction piping, or low-flow operation. Action: shut the pump down immediately, remove the blockage or open the valve, and increase the flow rate before restarting.
