KSB MegaCPK Pumps
Spare Parts for KSB MegaCPK Chemical Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine OEM spare parts for the KSB MegaCPK standardised chemical pump, the ISO 2858 / ISO 5199 back pull-out volute casing pump used across Australia for chemicals, process water, mining and industrial transfer. Every MegaCPK shares the same build (impeller, casing and impeller wear rings, mechanical seal or gland packing, and a CS bearing bracket), so tick what you need and we’ll match the parts to your nameplate, such as MCPK 50-32-160 CD.
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB parts are matched to the pump type series, size, impeller, materials, shaft seal and bearing bracket, so the type designation and order number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Mechanical Seal, complete (part no. 433) | The single, double or cartridge mechanical seal at the casing cover, on KSB’s recommended 2-year spares list. Replace when leakage becomes visible or the seal faces are damaged. | |
| Impeller (part no. 230) | The closed radial impeller, trimmed to the diameter on your data sheet. Replace if eroded, corroded or cavitated, or when internal wear has cut the flow rate. | |
| Casing Wear Rings (part nos. 502.01/.02) | Standard on cast iron casings, optional on other materials. KSB says fit new rings once the clearance exceeds the maximum (0.9 mm for G/B impellers, 1.5 mm for C, D, E, F, O). | |
| Sealing Elements for Pump Casing (set) | KSB’s named set of casing gaskets, joint rings and O-rings from the 2-year spares list. Fit a new set whenever the back pull-out unit is removed. | |
| Gland Packing Set (part no. 461.01) | The packing rings for gland-packed MegaCPK pumps, listed as a set by KSB. Renew when the gland follower can no longer be adjusted to a steady drip. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Impeller Wear Rings (part nos. 503.01/.02) | Run against the casing wear rings on pumps fitted with both. Replace together with the casing wear rings when the clearance is worn beyond the limit. | |
| Shaft Protecting Sleeve (part no. 524.01) | The replaceable sleeve in the shaft seal area. Replace if scored or rough, and fit a new seal or packing at the same time. | |
| Angular Contact Ball Bearings (part no. 320.02) | The paired fixed bearings that carry the axial thrust on Medium Duty bearing brackets (e.g. 2 x 7310 on CS50). Replace if running hot, noisy or rough. | |
| Cylindrical Roller Bearing (part no. 322.01) | The radial bearing at the pump end on Medium Duty brackets (NU208-E to NU312-E). Replace together with the fixed bearings. | |
| Deep Groove Ball Bearings (part nos. 321.01/.02) | Pump-end and drive-end floating bearings on Economy brackets (6208 to 6312 C3, open or 2Z). Replace if running hot, noisy or rough. | |
| Lip Seals (part nos. 421.01/.02) | Seal the bearing covers to keep lubricant in and dirt out. Renew whenever the bearings are changed. | |
| Coupling Elements (set) | The flexible elements of the shaft coupling, on KSB’s 2-year spares list. Replace in due time at any sign of wear, then check the alignment. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Shaft (part no. 210) | Carries the impeller and runs in the bearing bracket; Medium Duty and Economy shafts differ. Replace if bent, worn at the bearing seats or damaged at the impeller end. | |
| Volute Casing (part no. 102) | The radially split single or double volute casing with integral feet. Replace if eroded, corroded or cracked, matched to your size and material code. | |
| Casing Cover (part no. 161) | Closes the back of the casing and houses the shaft seal; conical, cylindrical or heatable versions. Replace if the seal chamber is damaged or eroded. | |
| Bearing Bracket (part no. 330) | Holds the shaft and bearings, oil or grease lubricated. Replace if cracked or if the bearing seats are worn. | |
| Bearing Covers (part nos. 360.01/.02) | Close the bearing bracket at each end and locate the bearings and lip seals. Replace if damaged or worn. | |
| Constant Level Oiler (part no. 638) | Keeps the oil in the bearing bracket at the correct level. Replace if the reservoir is cracked or the level cannot be held. | |
How we confirm the exact part: KSB MegaCPK parts depend on the size, impeller diameter, casing and impeller materials, seal option, bearing bracket and bearing design fitted to your pump. The part numbers shown are KSB part numbers from the MegaCPK operating manual; your nameplate carries the type series, size and material (e.g. MCPK 50-32-160 CD) and the KSB order and order item number, which together pin down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
Parts are available across the MegaCPK size range; the size code after MCPK on your nameplate (suction nozzle, discharge nozzle and nominal impeller diameter, e.g. MCPK 50-32-160) identifies the pump. The sizes below are those listed in the KSB operating manual.

Bearing bracket per size from the KSB MegaCPK interchangeability table; bearings from the standard bearing assembly table (Economy grease-lubricated versions use 2Z bearings). Flow and head depend on the impeller diameter and speed on your data sheet.
Troubleshooting
Pump delivers too little flow
Likely cause: pump or piping not fully vented, a clogged supply line or impeller, suction lift too high, or a worn impeller. Action: vent and prime, clear deposits from the pump and piping, check the suction conditions, and fit a new impeller (230) and wear rings if worn.
Excessive leakage at the shaft seal
Likely cause: a worn shaft seal, gland follower over-tightened or cocked, or score marks on the shaft protecting sleeve. Action: fit a new mechanical seal (433) or packing (461.01), correct the gland follower, and replace the shaft protecting sleeve (524.01) if scored.
Leakage at the pump casing
Likely cause: a defective gasket between volute casing and casing cover. Action: fit a new gasket between the volute casing and casing cover.
Bearings running hot
Likely cause: misalignment, too much or too little lubricant, or wrong coupling distance. Action: re-align the pump set, top up, reduce or change the lubricant, and correct the coupling distance.
Vibration during operation
Likely cause: rotor out of balance, defective bearings, misalignment, or flow rate too low. Action: clean and re-balance the impeller, replace the bearings, re-align the pump and raise the minimum flow.
Motor overload
Likely cause: back pressure lower than specified, fluid density or viscosity higher than ordered, or speed too high. Action: re-adjust to the duty point and, if overloading continues, have the impeller turned down.
