Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB parts are matched to the pump type series, size, stages, material code and seal code, so the type designation and order/serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Mechanical Seal, Complete (part no. 433) | The EN 12756 standardised or cartridge seal at the casing entry, identified by the seal code on the nameplate. Replace at the first sign of leakage; KSB lists it in the recommended 2-year spares. | |
| Impeller Set (part no. 230) | The closed radial stage impellers that build head through the ring-section stack. Replace if worn, eroded or cavitation-damaged; KSB advises renewing wear parts whenever the hydraulic is fully dismantled. | |
| Casing Wear Ring Set (part no. 502) | Wear rings in the suction casing (502.1), stage casings (502.2) and diffusers (502.3) depending on size and material code. Replace when flow has dropped or axial thrust has increased. | |
| Set of Sealing Elements (part no. 99-9.1) | KSB’s set of gasket 400.1, joint ring 411.7, O-rings 412 and thrower 507 (99-9.2 adds the oil-lubrication seals). Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Drive-end Ball Bearing Repair Kit (part no. 99-20.4) | Rolling element bearing 320.1, O-ring 412.10, sleeve 520.1 and spacer disc 551.1. Replace when the bearings run hot, rough or noisy. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Suction Stage Impeller (part no. 231) | The low-NPSH first-stage impeller at the suction end (not on size 32). Replace if pitted by cavitation or worn, together with the stage impellers. | |
| O-ring Set (part no. 412.1) | The confined O-rings that seal the stage casings, discharge casing and seal housing. Fit new O-rings at every rebuild; KSB warns never to make them up from O-ring cord. | |
| Shaft Sleeve (part no. 523) | Carries the mechanical seal on the shaft. Check for score marks or roughness whenever the seal leaks and replace if required. | |
| Shaft Protecting Sleeve (part no. 524) | Protects the shaft under the gland packing. Replace if scored or rough, a common cause of shaft seal leakage. | |
| Gland Packing Set (part no. 461) | Packing rings for pumps fitted with gland packing instead of a mechanical seal. Renew when the gland can no longer be adjusted to a steady drip. | |
| Spacer Sleeve (part no. 525) | Locates the impellers and seal parts along the shaft. Replace if worn or damaged when the rotor is dismantled. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Shaft, Complete (part no. 210) | The pump shaft, supplied complete with small parts as listed in KSB’s recommended spares. Replace if bent, worn at the bearing or seal seats, or damaged. | |
| Balance Drum Repair Kit (part no. 99-20.2) | Balance drum 59-4, bush 540.1 and key 940.2, which take up the axial thrust. Replace when balancing liquid pressure or flow varies or axial thrust has increased. | |
| Plain Bearing Repair Kit (part no. 99-20.1) | The product-lubricated suction-end plain bearing: bearing cartridge or bush, SiC bearing sleeve, O-rings, discs and pins. Replace if the sleeve or bush is worn or cracked. | |
| Stage Casing (part no. 108) | The ring-section casings stacked between suction and discharge casing, sealed by confined O-rings. Replace if eroded or the sealing faces are damaged. | |
| Diffuser (part no. 171) | Converts the velocity from each impeller into pressure and guides flow to the next stage. Replace if eroded or worn at the wear ring seat. | |
How we confirm the exact part: KSB Multitec parts depend on the size, number of stages and impeller combination, installation type, material code and seal code of your pump. The part numbers shown are KSB part numbers from the manual’s spare parts list; your nameplate gives the type designation (e.g. MTC A 32/8E-2.1 12.167) plus the KSB order number and order item number, which together pin down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
Parts are available across the Multitec size range; the number after the installation-type letter on your nameplate (e.g. MTC A 32/8E) is the size, the nominal discharge nozzle diameter in mm. The sizes below are those listed in the KSB Multitec / Multitec-RO operating manual.
Models & Key Specifications
| Size | Minimum flow (single pump) | Oil quantity DE / NDE (ml) | Casing wear rings |
|---|---|---|---|
| 32 | ≈ 15–25 % of Qopt (rises with temperature) | 330 / 330 | suction casing (material codes 15–17, 20–33) |
| 50 | ≈ 15–25 % of Qopt (rises with temperature) | 500 / 330 | suction casing (material codes 15–17, 20–33) |
| 65 | ≈ 15–25 % of Qopt (rises with temperature) | 490 / 510 | suction casing (material codes 15–17, 20–33) |
| 100 | ≈ 35 % of Qopt | 880 / 920 | suction casing (material codes 15–17, 20–33) |
| 125 | ≈ 35 % of Qopt | 880 / 920 | suction casing + stage casings |
| 150 | ≈ 35 % of Qopt | 1000 / 1040 | suction casing + stage casings |
| 200 | ≈ 35 % of Qopt | 1000 / 1040 | suction, stage casings + diffusers |
| 250 | ≈ 35 % of Qopt | 940 / 1000 | stage casings + diffusers |
From the KSB Multitec / Multitec-RO operating manual (1777.8/17-EN): minimum flow, oil quantity and spare parts tables. Maximum flow, head and pressure depend on the stages and impeller combination; see your pump data sheet. Multitec-RO (material codes 31 and 33) is the reverse osmosis variant.
Troubleshooting
Flow rate below the specified value
Likely cause: pump or piping not fully vented or primed, a clogged inlet line or impellers, NPSH available too low, or wear of internal components. Action: vent and prime, remove deposits and check strainers and inlet level; replace worn impellers and casing wear rings if internal wear is the cause.
Leakage at the shaft seal
Likely cause: a defective shaft seal, score marks on shaft protecting sleeve 524 or shaft sleeve 523, misalignment or a warped pump. Action: replace the seal and sleeve if required, re-align the coupling and check the piping connections.
Excessive bearing temperature
Likely cause: defective bearings, wrong oil quantity or quality, or increased axial thrust from worn casing wear rings or balancing device. Action: replace the bearings, top up or change the oil, and check the casing wear rings and balance drum, replacing them if required.
Vibrations during operation
Likely cause: pump not vented, NPSH too low, worn internal components, rotor unbalance, misalignment or defective bearings. Action: vent and prime, clean or balance the rotor, re-align the coupling and replace defective bearings or worn parts.
Leakage at the pump casing
Likely cause: defective O-rings or metallic sealing surfaces, or tie bolts that have worked loose. Action: replace the O-rings or remachine the sealing faces, and re-tighten the tie bolts.
Balancing liquid pressure or quantity varies
Likely cause: pump not vented, NPSH too low, wear of internal components or increased axial thrust. Action: vent and prime, check the inlet, and check the casing wear rings and balancing device, replacing them if required.
