Spare Parts List

✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB parts are matched to the pump size, impeller type, material variant, shaft seal and installation type, so the type designation and order/serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.

SelectWear / Service ItemFunction & when to replace
Common Service Kits
Casing Wear Ring (part no. 502)Replaceable rings in the volute casing that set the clearance gap at the impeller. Replace once the clearance exceeds the wear limit in the manual’s clearance table.
Impeller Wear Ring (part no. 503)Optional wear ring on the double-entry impeller, running against the casing wear ring. Replace as a pair with the casing wear rings once the clearance is beyond the wear limit.
Mechanical Seal (part no. 433)The shaft seal on each side of the double-entry pump on mechanical seal versions. Replace when leakage increases, together with the shaft protecting sleeve if it is scored.
Gland Packing Kit (parts 452, 455, 457, 458)KSB’s kit for packed versions (code P): gland follower 452, stuffing box insert 455, neck ring 457 and lantern ring 458. Fit with new packing rings 461 when the gland can no longer be adjusted.
Deep Groove Ball Bearing (part no. 321)The grease-packed, sealed-for-life rolling element bearings (top bearings on Omega V). Replace when they run hot or noisy, or at each overhaul.
Wear & Consumable Parts
Packing Rings (part no. 461)The gland packing on code P pumps. Renew when leakage cannot be brought back to a steady drip by adjusting the gland follower, or if the wrong packing material was fitted.
Shaft Protecting Sleeve (part no. 524)Protects the shaft in the seal area. Replace if scored or worn; the manual pairs it with every worn shaft seal and air-intake remedy.
O-rings (part no. 412)Seal the shaft seal housings, sleeves and bearing assembly. Fit new O-rings whenever the rotor is removed.
Lip Seal (part no. 421)Lip seals at the bearing housings that keep water and dirt out of the bearings. Replace at every bearing change or if worn.
V-ring (part no. 411.1)The V-ring joint ring on the shaft that shields the bearing housing from spray. Renew whenever the bearing assembly is dismantled.
Bearing Bush (part no. 545)The product-lubricated bottom plain bearing bush on vertical Omega V pumps. Replace if worn, scored or if vibration has increased.
Other Core Parts
Impeller (part no. 234)The double-entry radial impeller that balances axial thrust. Replace if eroded, cavitation-damaged or if it has rubbed against casing components.
Pump Shaft (part no. 211)The completely dry pump shaft carrying the impeller and bearings. The manual’s remedy for a shaft out of true is to replace it.
Mechanical Seal Installation Kit (parts 457.2, 471, 525.2)The neck ring, seal cover and spacer sleeve that locate the mechanical seal. Renew any part that is damaged or corroded when the seal is changed.
Shaft Fastening Elements (920, 932, 940, 950)The nuts, circlip, keys and disc spring that fix the impeller and bearings on the shaft, listed by KSB in the recommended spares. Renew when the rotor is overhauled.
Bearing Housing (part no. 350)Holds the rolling element bearings on each end of the pump. Replace if cracked or the bearing seat is worn.
Volute Casing (part no. 102)The axially split casing with integrally cast feet; the upper section lifts off for rotor access. Replace if eroded, cracked or damaged at the wear ring seats.

How we confirm the exact part: KSB Omega parts depend on the size, impeller type, material variant, shaft seal (gland packing or mechanical seal), bearing lubrication and installation type of your pump. The part numbers shown are KSB part numbers from the manual’s spare parts and component lists; your nameplate gives the designation (e.g. Omega 250-600 A) plus the KSB order number and order item number, which together pin down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.

Models

Parts are available across the Omega size range; the two numbers after Omega (or Omega V) on your nameplate (e.g. Omega 250-600 A) are the discharge nozzle diameter and nominal impeller diameter in mm. The sizes below are those listed in the KSB Omega / Omega V operating manual.

Wear-ring clearances from the KSB Omega / Omega V operating manual (1384.8/19-EN), clearance table: when the radial clearance exceeds the wear limit, replace the casing and impeller wear rings. Flow and head depend on your pump’s data sheet.

Troubleshooting

Pump runs but does not deliver

Likely cause: pump or piping not fully vented or primed, a clogged supply line or impeller, or air pockets in the piping. Action: vent the pump, clean the impeller and strainers, and correct the piping layout.

Flow or discharge pressure too low

Likely cause: wear of internal components, wrong direction of rotation, speed too low or NPSH available too low. Action: check the duty point and rotation, correct suction conditions and replace worn wear rings and other worn components.

Excessive leakage at the shaft seal

Likely cause: a worn shaft seal, gland follower or seal cover tightened incorrectly, or lack of cooling or barrier fluid. Action: adjust or renew the gland packing or fit a new shaft seal, replace the shaft protecting sleeve and check the barrier fluid supply.

Excessive bearing temperature

Likely cause: too much, too little or unsuitable lubricant, increased axial thrust, a warped pump or defective bearings. Action: clean the bearings and correct the lubricant, check the duty point, re-align pump and drive, and replace defective bearings.

Vibrations and noise

Likely cause: cavitation, rotor out of balance, a shaft out of true or the impeller rubbing against casing components. Action: correct suction conditions, clean and re-balance the rotor, and replace the shaft if it is out of true.

Leakage at the pump

Likely cause: loose assembly bolts or worn sealing elements. Action: re-tighten the bolts, fit new sealing elements and check the pipeline connections.
