KSB RDLO Pumps
Spare Parts for KSB RDLO Axially Split Volute Casing Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine OEM spare parts for the KSB RDLO, the large single-stage axially split volute casing pump with a double-entry impeller, used in waterworks, desalination, irrigation, drainage and cooling water duties. Tick the parts you need and we’ll match them to the type designation and order number on your nameplate.
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB parts are matched to the pump type series, size, impeller diameter, materials and shaft seal, so the type designation and order/serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. | Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Shaft Seal Set | The two shaft seals either side of the double-entry impeller. Renew at the first sign of leakage or when the pump is opened for overhaul. | |
| Casing Wear Rings | Set the running clearance at both impeller eyes (bronze, stainless or duplex). Replace when clearances have opened up and output or efficiency has dropped. | |
| Rolling Element Bearing Set | The bearings in the solid bearing brackets, rated by KSB for at least 100,000 hours theoretical life. Renew if noisy, hot or vibrating, or at major overhaul. | |
| Casing Split Gasket & O-ring Set | Seals the upper and lower casing halves at the split flange, plus the sleeve and cover O-rings. Fit new every time the upper casing is lifted. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Impeller Wear Rings (optional) | Optional rings on the impeller hubs that run against the casing wear rings. Replace together with the casing rings when the clearance is worn. | |
| Shaft Protecting Sleeves | Protect the shaft where it passes through the seals. Replace if scored or grooved under the seal or packing. | |
| Gland Packing Rings | For packed builds: renew the packing set when the gland can no longer be adjusted to control leakage. | |
| Coupling Elastomers | The flexible elements in the pump-motor coupling. Replace if cracked or worn, and recheck alignment. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Double-entry Impeller | The double-entry radial impeller (bronze, stainless or duplex). Replace if eroded, cavitation-damaged or cracked. | |
| Shaft | The rigid stainless or duplex shaft carrying the impeller between the two bearings. Replace if bent or worn at the bearing seats. | |
| Bearing Housing / Bracket | The solid bearing brackets bolted to the casing. Replace if the bearing bore is worn or the housing is cracked. | |
| Volute Casing Halves | The double-volute casing in grey cast iron, nodular cast iron or duplex steel. Replace if eroded, corroded or cracked. | |
How we confirm the exact part: KSB RDLO parts depend on the size, impeller diameter, materials, shaft seal (mechanical seal or packing) and installation (horizontal or vertical) fitted to your pump. No public RDLO parts list is available, so items are listed by function; your nameplate gives the type designation (RDLO followed by the nominal size) and the order/serial number, which together pin down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
RDLO is built in nominal sizes from DN 350 to DN 900; read the type designation from your nameplate and pick the nearest size below, or choose “Not sure”.
Models & Key Specifications
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Sizes | DN 350–900 |
| Flow rate | up to 18,000 m³/h |
| Head | up to 300 m |
| Operating pressure | up to 30 bar |
| Fluid temperature | 0–140°C (standard design up to 80°C) |
| Materials | casing grey/nodular cast iron or duplex; impeller, sleeves and wear rings bronze, stainless or duplex |
From the KSB RDLO data sheet (1387.021); larger flows and heads on request, limits depend on material and size. No public RDLO operating manual, so parts are listed by function; we confirm the exact items from your nameplate.
Troubleshooting
Pump delivers less than it should
Likely cause: worn casing and impeller wear rings, a partly blocked impeller, or air in the suction. Action: check the suction side and vent the pump; if output is still down, renew the wear rings and inspect the impeller.
Leakage at the shaft seal
Likely cause: worn mechanical seal faces or packing, or a scored shaft protecting sleeve. Action: renew the seal or packing, and the shaft sleeve if it is grooved.
Bearings running hot or noisy
Likely cause: bearings at end of life, wrong lubricant quantity, or misalignment. Action: check lubrication and coupling alignment, and renew the bearings if they are rough.
Vibration or noise from the casing
Likely cause: operation far from the best efficiency point, cavitation, or a damaged impeller. Action: check the operating point and suction head, and inspect the impeller for cavitation damage.
Leak at the casing split flange
Likely cause: a damaged split gasket or dirt on the flange faces. Action: lift the upper casing, clean both flange faces and fit a new gasket.
