KSB Sewatec Pumps
Spare Parts for KSB Sewatec Dry-Installed Waste Water Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine OEM spare parts for the KSB Sewatec dry-installed volute casing pump and its close-coupled Sewabloc variant, built with non-clogging F, E, D and K impellers for waste water, sludge and contaminated surface water. Tick the parts you need and we’ll match them to the type designation on your nameplate, such as Sewatec K 100-253.
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB parts are matched to the pump type series, size, impeller type and diameter, materials and shaft seal, so the type designation and order/serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Mechanical Seal Set (two bi-directional seals) | KSB fits two bi-directional mechanical seals with an oil reservoir between them. Renew both seals together at the first sign of leakage or oil contamination, and at every major overhaul. | |
| Impeller (F, E, D or K type) | The non-clogging impeller: F vortex, E single-channel, D open diagonal/radial or K multi-channel. Replace if worn, cracked or eroded; F, E and D come in set diameters, K and D-max are trimmed to the duty point. | |
| Rolling Element Bearing Set | The shaft bearings. KSB grease-packs them for life up to bearing size S04 and makes them re-greasable above S04. Renew if they run noisy or hot, or at seal overhauls on high-hour pumps. | |
| Gasket & O-ring Set | The casing, cover and seal-chamber gaskets and O-rings. Fit new ones every time the pump is opened so the casing and oil chamber seal correctly. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Casing Wear Ring / Suction-side Wear Part | Sets the running clearance at the impeller eye on closed impellers (the suction-side wear plate on open types). Replace when the gap has opened up and output has dropped away. | |
| Seal Chamber Oil | The oil in the reservoir between the two mechanical seals. Change it at every service; water or debris in the oil is an early sign the pump-side seal is failing. | |
| Shaft Seal O-rings & Springs | Secondary sealing elements for the mechanical seals. Renew with the seal faces, checking for hardening or chemical attack from the waste water. | |
| Discharge Cover / Casing Cover | The cover that closes the hydraulic end behind the impeller. Replace if eroded or corroded; material variant GC uses a duplex stainless steel cover. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Shaft | Carries the impeller and runs through the seals and bearings. Replace if bent, or scored where the seals run. | |
| Volute Casing | The grey cast iron volute that carries the flow to the discharge flange. Replace if cracked or worn through by abrasive solids. | |
| Intermediate Casing | Joins the hydraulic end to the bearing and seal section (white cast iron on variant GH). Replace if eroded or damaged. | |
| Motor / Drive Parts (Sewabloc) | Sewabloc is close-coupled to its motor; we quote motor parts or a matching motor from the motor size and poles in your designation (e.g. 200L 4). | |
How we confirm the exact part: KSB Sewatec and Sewabloc parts depend on the impeller type and diameter, nominal size, material variant, installation type and shaft seal fitted to your pump. KSB lists the impeller diameter and material in the type designation (e.g. Sewatec K100-253G 3ENH 200L 4), and the order/serial number on the nameplate pins down the exact build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
The size code on your nameplate is the impeller type, discharge nozzle diameter and nominal impeller diameter (e.g. K 100-253). The sizes below are a selection from KSB’s 50 Hz characteristic curves booklet; other sizes are covered too.
Models & Key Specifications
| Impeller type | Design | Max flow | Max head | Sizes (DN) in booklet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| F / F-max | Vortex impeller | 189 l/s | 80 m | 050–150 |
| E / E-max | Closed single-channel impeller | 139 l/s | 19 m | 065–350 |
| D / D-max | Open diagonal single-vane / open radial multi-vane | 450 l/s | 80 m | 080–350 |
| K / K-max | Closed multi-channel impeller | 2775 l/s | 115 m | 050–700 |
Flow and head limits from the KSB Sewabloc / Sewatec data sheet (fluid up to 70°C, operating pressure up to 10 bar); size ranges from the KSB Sewatec / Sewabloc 50 Hz characteristic curves booklet. Larger sizes are Sewatec only; the close-coupled Sewabloc covers the smaller sizes.
Troubleshooting
Pump delivers too little or nothing
Likely cause: a worn impeller or opened-up wear clearance, a partly blocked impeller or suction line, or wrong rotation. Action: clear the impeller and suction line, check rotation, and replace the impeller and wear ring if worn.
Impeller keeps clogging
Likely cause: flow velocity or impeller speed too low for the waste water, or the wrong impeller type for the solids. Action: check the duty against the selection and the minimum speeds KSB sets, and consider a different impeller type (e.g. F vortex) for stringy solids.
Water or solids in the seal chamber oil
Likely cause: a worn or damaged pump-side mechanical seal. Action: change the oil and renew the mechanical seals and their O-rings.
Bearings noisy or running hot
Likely cause: bearings at end of life, lost grease, or excessive radial load from operating far from the duty point. Action: renew the bearings and re-grease where fitted, and check the operating point.
Motor overloads or trips
Likely cause: fluid density higher than selected, operation beyond the duty point, or a jammed impeller. Action: check the motor power reserve against the actual density and duty, and clear the impeller.
