KSB UPA Borehole Pumps
Spare Parts for KSB UPA Submersible Borehole Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine OEM spare parts for the KSB UPA submersible borehole pump range, from the 6-inch stainless UPA C 150 up to the 8, 10 and 12-inch UPA 200, 250 and 300, used for groundwater extraction, town water supply and irrigation. Tick the parts you need and we’ll match them to the type designation on your nameplate, such as UPA 150C-16/9.
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. KSB UPA parts are matched to the pump size, number of stages, materials and the submersible motor fitted, so the type designation and order/serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Impeller & Stage Set | The impellers and stage (diffuser) casings that make up the hydraulic. Renew when output has dropped from wear by sand or abrasive water. | |
| Pump Bearing Set | The water-lubricated pump bearings, enclosed on the UPA 200 to 300. Renew if worn, which shows as vibration or a drop in performance. | |
| Wear Rings | The UPA 200, 250 and 300 use robust wear rings at the impellers. Replace when clearances have opened up and the head has fallen away. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Lift Check Valve Parts | The non-return valve at the pump discharge (anti-jam design available). Replace the valve plate or seat if water runs back down the riser at shut-down. | |
| Suction Strainer | Keeps larger solids out of the first stage. Replace if holed or corroded. | |
| Motor Thrust Bearing Parts | Carries the hydraulic thrust in the submersible motor. Renew if the motor runs rough or the shaft has axial play. | |
| Cable Connection Set | The joint and connector materials that make a watertight splice between the motor lead and the drop cable. Use a new set every time the cable is joined. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Pump Shaft | Carries the impellers through the stages. Replace if bent or worn at the bearings. | |
| Suction Body / Motor Lantern | Joins the pump to the submersible motor and houses the coupling and intake. Replace if corroded or damaged. | |
| Submersible Motor | The water-filled submersible motor (UMA asynchronous or UMA-S synchronous). We quote a matching motor from the motor data on your nameplate. | |
| Motor Cable | The submersible drop cable to the surface. Replace if the insulation is damaged or tests low. | |
How we confirm the exact part: KSB UPA parts depend on the pump size, hydraulic, number of stages, materials and the submersible motor fitted. KSB’s type designation gives the series, nominal size, design status, best-efficiency flow and stage count (e.g. UPA 150C-16/9), and the order/serial number pins down the build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
Read the type designation from the pump or motor nameplate (e.g. UPA 150C-16/9: size 150C, hydraulic 16, 9 stages) and select the nearest entry below, or choose “Not sure”.
Models & Key Specifications

Troubleshooting
Pump delivers too little water
Likely cause: wrong rotation on a three-phase motor, worn internal parts, or the motor running on two phases. Action: swap two supply phases if rotation is wrong, check the fuses, and renew the worn stages, wear rings and bearings.
Irregular or noisy running
Likely cause: deposits in the impellers, too much air or gas in the water, or mechanical damage. Action: pull the pump and clean the impellers; if damaged, have the pump inspected and renew the worn parts.
Water runs back down the riser at stop
Likely cause: a worn or jammed lift check valve. Action: inspect the check valve and renew the valve parts.
Output falls off on a sandy bore
Likely cause: sand wear on the impellers, stages and wear rings. Action: renew the impeller and stage set and wear rings, and check the bore for sand ingress.
Motor trips or insulation tests low
Likely cause: damaged cable or a failed cable joint letting water in. Action: test the cable and motor insulation, remake the joint with a new connection set, or renew the cable.
