NETZSCH NEMO BF / SF & B.Max Pumps
Spare Parts for NEMO BF / SF and B.Max Hopper Progressive Cavity Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the NETZSCH NEMO BF / SF heavy-duty hopper pump (with removable cone-shaped force-feed chamber and positioned feed screw) and the NEMO B.Max mixing hopper pump, used across Australia for dewatered sludge cake, press and centrifuge cake, biogas substrates and other highly viscous, compacted or crumbly products. Rotor, stator, pin joints, feed screw and mechanical seal are the common wear items across the range, so tick what you need and we’ll match the parts to your nameplate (e.g. NM076 BF).
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. NEMO rotors, stators, feed screws and joint parts are matched to pump size, geometry and elastomer, and your nameplate tells us which. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work out the parts for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Stator | The elastomer-lined stator with conical inlet, the main wear item on a sludge cake pump. Replace when output falls at the same speed, or after dry running, swelling or chunking of the rubber. | |
| Rotor | The hardened or coated rotor that runs in the stator. Replace when scored, pitted or worn undersize; best fitted together with a new stator. | |
| Pin Joint Service Parts | The set of joint wear parts for both ends of the coupling rod: pins, bushes, joint sleeves, clamps and lubricant. Renew at every rotor and stator change, or straight away if a sleeve has split. | |
| Mechanical Seal | The standard single-acting, bi-directional mechanical seal (other seals optional). Replace at the first sign of leakage at the drive end. | |
| Gasket & O-Ring Set | Gaskets and O-rings for the hopper housing, force-feed chamber, stator ends and inspection cover. Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Coupling Rod with Feed Screw | The coupling rod carrying the horizontally positioned conveying screw that forces cake into the stator (reinforced screw on the B.Max). Replace if the flights are worn or bent or the rod is cracked. | |
| Force-Feed Chamber | The removable conical compression chamber between the hopper and the stator. Replace if worn through or badly abraded by gritty sludge. | |
| aBP-Module Parts | The bridge-breaking spoke wheels and their drive parts on BF pumps fitted with the aBP-Module. Replace if bent, worn or no longer clearing the shaft walls. | |
| Hopper / Suction Housing | The enlarged rectangular hopper body (steel or stainless). Replace if cracked, holed or worn thin. | |
| Plug-in Shaft / Drive Shaft | The plug-in shaft on block-design BF pumps, or the drive shaft and bearings in the SF bearing housing. Replace if the seal area is grooved or the bearings are rough. | |
| Pressure Branch | The discharge end casing that holds the stator and carries the outlet flange. Replace if eroded, corroded or damaged. | |
| Gearmotor / Drive | The low-speed geared motor for block-design pumps, matched to your kW, output speed and flange. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like NEMO BF, SF or B.Max from the type code on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: NEMO BF / SF and B.Max parts depend on pump size, design (block BF or bearing-housing SF), rotor/stator geometry, elastomer, joint type, seal and whether an aBP-Module is fitted. Your nameplate carries the full type code and serial number, which tells us all of it (e.g. NM076 BF plus the geometry and material codes). Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
Spare parts are available for every NEMO BF / SF and B.Max size in the NETZSCH range. BF is the block design with flanged drive; SF has a bearing housing and free drive shaft.

BF / SF: enlarged rectangular hopper, removable cone-shaped force-feed chamber and patented positioned feed screw, for dewatered sludge to about 35% dry solids; aBP-Module anti-bridging option from NM045 to NM105. B.Max: large rectangular hopper with flushing connection for mixing and feeding biogas substrates.
Troubleshooting
Cake bridges over the hopper
Likely cause: stiff, sticky cake arching over the feed screw so the pump starves, often when dry solids rise after a change at the centrifuge, belt press or filter press. Action: check the cake dry solids against the duty; keep the hopper fed evenly. On bridging-prone cake, an aBP-Module (where fitted) or feed changes may be needed.
Stator wears quickly or burns out
Likely cause: dry running from an empty or bridged hopper, abrasive grit in the cake, or speed above the duty. Action: fit dry-run protection or hopper level control; check speed; replace the rotor and stator together and confirm the elastomer suits the product.
Output drops at normal speed
Likely cause: worn rotor and stator, worn feed screw flights or force-feed chamber, so cake is not filling the stator. Action: check flow against speed; inspect the stator, rotor, feed screw and force-feed chamber; replace worn items.
High discharge pressure or drive trips
Likely cause: long cake lines with high friction, cake setting in the pipe after a shutdown, or a closed or blocked valve. Action: check the line and valves; fit pressure monitoring or a safety device; flush or lubricate long cake lines where the system allows. Never run against a closed valve.
Stator swollen, pump hard to start
Likely cause: elastomer not compatible with polymer, cleaning chemicals, oils or temperature. Action: confirm the product, chemicals and temperature, then fit a stator in a compatible elastomer. We can match the elastomer code from your nameplate.
Knocking or noise from the coupling rod
Likely cause: worn joint pins and bushes after a split joint sleeve let grit in and oil out. Action: strip and inspect both joints; fit the joint service parts with new sleeves and clamps; replace the coupling rod if worn or bent.
Leaking at the shaft seal
Likely cause: worn seal faces from abrasive solids, dry running or product packing around the seal. Action: replace the mechanical seal and renew the O-rings; on SF pumps also check the drive shaft bearings.
