NETZSCH NEMO BO / BS Pumps
Spare Parts for NEMO BO / BS Hopper Progressive Cavity Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the NETZSCH NEMO BO / BS hopper pump, a block-construction progressive cavity pump with a rectangular (BO) or square (BS) feed hopper and a coupling rod fitted with a conveying screw, used across Australia for thickened sludge, food mash, pastes and other viscous, sticky or crumbly products that won’t flow into a standard pump. Every size from the NM015 to the NM105 shares the same build (rotor and stator, pin joints, feed screw and mechanical seal), so tick what you need and we’ll match the parts to your nameplate (e.g. NM063 BO).
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. NEMO rotors, stators and joint parts are matched to pump size, rotor/stator geometry and elastomer, all of which are on your nameplate. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work out the parts for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Stator | The elastomer-lined stator with its funnel-shaped inlet, the main wear item on any hopper pump. Replace when flow drops at the same speed, or after dry running, swelling or chunking of the rubber. | |
| Rotor | The hardened or coated rotor that turns inside the stator. Replace when it is scored, pitted or worn undersize; fit it with a new stator for the best service life. | |
| Pin Joint Service Parts | The set of joint wear parts for both ends of the coupling rod: joint pins, bushes, joint sleeves, clamps and lubricant. Renew at every rotor and stator change, or straight away if a sleeve is split or leaking oil. | |
| Mechanical Seal | The standard shaft seal on the BO / BS, with faces and elastomers to suit the product (packing and other seals optional). Replace at the first sign of leakage at the drive end of the hopper. | |
| Gasket & O-Ring Set | Housing gaskets, stator seals and inspection cover O-rings. Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Coupling Rod with Feed Screw | The coupling rod carrying the conveying screw that pushes product from the hopper into the rotor and stator. Replace if the flights are worn, bent or the rod is cracked. | |
| Plug-in Shaft | Connects the drive output shaft to the rotating unit and runs through the shaft seal. Replace if the seal area is grooved or the drive bore is worn. | |
| Hopper / Suction Housing | The rectangular (BO) or square (BS) hopper body with its force-feed chamber. Replace if cracked, holed or badly abraded. | |
| Pressure Branch | The discharge end casing that holds the stator and carries the outlet connection. Replace if eroded, corroded or the flange is damaged. | |
| Stator Tie Rods | The tie rods and nuts that clamp the stator between the hopper housing and pressure branch. Replace if stretched or corroded. | |
| Gearmotor / Drive | The directly flanged geared motor that drives the pump at low speed. Matched to your kW, output speed and flange. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like NEMO BO or BS from the type code on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: NEMO BO / BS parts depend on pump size, hopper type, rotor/stator geometry (e.g. 01L or 02S), elastomer, joint type and seal. Your nameplate carries the full type code and serial number, which tells us all of it (e.g. NM063 BO plus the geometry and material codes). Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
Spare parts are available for every NEMO BO / BS size in the NETZSCH range. The BO has a rectangular hopper and the BS a square hopper; the size (e.g. NM063) is the same for both.

All sizes: block construction with directly flanged drive, coupling rod with conveying screw and force-feed (compression) chamber, standard mechanical seal. Versions with bearing housing and free drive shaft are designated SO / SS. NETZSCH quotes the BO for products to about 15% dry solids and the BS for thickened sludge to about 10% dry solids.
Troubleshooting
Product bridges in the hopper
Likely cause: stiff or sticky product arching over the feed screw so the pump starves and runs part-dry, often when solids content creeps up or the hopper level runs low. Action: check the dry solids against the duty; keep the hopper level steady; break up bridging at the source. If it keeps happening, ask us about the NEMO BF with its larger hopper and anti-bridging option.
Stator wears quickly or burns out
Likely cause: dry running (empty hopper or bridging), abrasive solids, or running faster than the duty allows. Action: fit dry-run protection or a hopper level switch; check speed against the duty; replace the rotor and stator together and confirm the elastomer suits the product.
Low flow at normal speed
Likely cause: worn rotor and stator, worn feed screw flights, or product not filling the stator inlet. Action: check flow against speed; inspect the stator, rotor and feed screw; replace worn items and confirm the product is reaching the force-feed chamber.
Stator swollen, pump hard to start
Likely cause: elastomer not compatible with the product, cleaning chemical or temperature. Action: confirm the product, cleaning agents and temperature, then fit a stator in a compatible elastomer. We can match the elastomer code from your nameplate.
Knocking or noise from the coupling rod
Likely cause: worn joint pins and bushes, often after a split joint sleeve let product in and oil out. Action: strip and inspect both joints; fit the joint service parts with new sleeves and clamps; replace the coupling rod if worn or bent.
Leaking at the shaft seal
Likely cause: worn or damaged seal faces from abrasive solids, dry running or product build-up. Action: replace the mechanical seal and renew the O-rings; keep the hopper charged so the seal never runs dry.
Drive trips or discharge pressure too high
Likely cause: a blocked or closed discharge line, product setting in the pipe, or a duty above the pump’s pressure rating. Action: check valves and the discharge line; fit pressure monitoring or a safety device. A progressive cavity pump must never run against a closed valve.
