NETZSCH NEMO SH / SA Pumps
Spare Parts for NEMO SH Hygienic and SA Aseptic Progressive Cavity Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the NETZSCH NEMO® SH hygienic and NEMO® SA aseptic progressive cavity pumps with bearing housing and free shaft end, used across Australia in dairy, food, beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical plants for gentle transfer with CIP and SIP. Both share the NM015 to NM105 sizes and a dead-space-free flexible rod (the SA adds double seals with a sterile barrier), so tick what you need and we’ll match the exact parts to your nameplate (e.g. NM053 SH or NM053 SA).
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. SH and SA wear parts are matched to pump size, stator elastomer and seal arrangement, so your nameplate model and serial number are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work out the parts for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Stator | The elastomer sleeve the rotor turns in, in FDA-compliant compounds (food-grade NBR, EPDM or FKM, chosen to suit your product and CIP chemicals). Replace when output drops, after any dry running, or if the elastomer has swollen, hardened or torn. | |
| Rotor | The polished stainless steel helical rotor. Replace it with the stator if it is worn, scored or pitted, as a rough rotor quickly damages a new stator and holds product residue. | |
| Flexible Rod | The dead-space-free flexible rod that replaces conventional joints, flexing to follow the rotor’s eccentric motion. It is wear-free in normal service; replace it if kinked, cracked or damaged by a seizure or over-pressure event. | |
| Mechanical Seal | SH pumps run a single-acting hygienic seal with a double-acting option; SA pumps use a double-acting seal in tandem with an unpressurised static or dynamic quench. Replace at the first sign of leakage or contaminated quench fluid. | |
| Gasket & O-Ring Set | All static seals in FDA-compliant elastomer, including the double-sealed chambers on SA pumps that carry sterile condensate, steam or detector fluid. Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Bearings | Bearings and shaft seals in the bearing housing that carry the drive shaft. Replace if noisy, running hot or showing play. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Drive Shaft | The shaft running from the bearing housing through the mechanical seal to the flexible rod. Replace if worn at the seal or bearing seats, or bent. | |
| Suction Housing | The crevice-free, polished pump casing on the inlet side. Replace if pitted, cracked or damaged on the seal or connection faces. | |
| Pressure Branch | The discharge end piece at the stator outlet. Replace if damaged, or when changing the connection type. | |
| Quench / Barrier Fittings | Lines and fittings that supply sterile condensate, steam or detector fluid to the SA barrier chambers and seal quench. Replace if blocked, leaking or damaged. | |
| Clamp / Hygienic Connection Seals | Seals and clamps for the hygienic process connections, matched to the fitting standard on your pump. Renew at shutdowns or when they show compression set. | |
| Drive Coupling | Connects the free shaft end to the motor or gearbox. Replace if worn, cracked or causing vibration, and re-check alignment. | |
| Gear Motor / Drive | The motor, gear motor or variable-speed drive on the baseplate. We match a replacement to your kW, output speed and frame. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like NEMO SH or SA from the model and serial number on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: SH and SA parts depend on pump size, rotor/stator geometry, stator elastomer, seal arrangement (single, double or tandem with quench) and process connections. Your nameplate carries the model (e.g. NM053 SH) and the serial number that identifies the original build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct part for your exact pump.
Models
Spare parts are available for every NEMO SH Plus and SA size in the current NETZSCH range, and both versions use the same NM015 to NM105 sizes.

Troubleshooting
Stator wears quickly or output falls away
Likely cause: dry running at start-up or between batches, abrasive solids, running faster than the product allows, or a worn rotor. Action: never run the pump dry (fit dry-run protection), check the speed suits the product, and replace the rotor and stator together if both are worn.
Stator swollen or hardened after CIP/SIP
Likely cause: the elastomer is not compatible with the product or the cleaning chemicals, or SIP temperatures are above what the compound tolerates. Action: tell us the product, CIP chemicals and SIP temperatures and we’ll check the elastomer choice before supplying a replacement stator.
Leaking at the mechanical seal
Likely cause: dry running, sticky or crystallising product on the faces, thermal shock during CIP/SIP, or perished O-rings. Action: replace the mechanical seal and O-rings; for sticky or critical products consider a double-acting seal.
SA quench fluid discoloured or consumption rising
Likely cause: product leaking past the inner seal into the quench or barrier chamber, or a perished barrier O-ring. Action: stop and inspect the tandem seal and barrier seals, replace them as a set, and flush the quench system before returning to sterile service.
Bearing housing noisy or running hot
Likely cause: worn bearings, poor coupling alignment to the motor, or bearing grease breakdown. Action: check and correct alignment at the drive coupling, replace the bearings and shaft seals, and inspect the coupling.
Pressure spikes or a damaged stator
Likely cause: a closed discharge valve, blocked filter or blocked line. A progressive cavity pump keeps building pressure until something gives. Action: never run against a closed valve; fit a pressure switch or bypass, and inspect the stator, flexible rod and seal after any over-pressure event.
Product residue after cleaning
Likely cause: worn or scored rotor, damaged gaskets leaving crevices, or CIP flow too low. Action: renew the gasket and O-ring set, inspect the rotor surface, and check CIP flow through the pump.
