NETZSCH TORNADO T2 Pumps
Spare Parts for TORNADO T2 Rotary Lobe Pumps (T.Envi, T.Proc, T.Sano)
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the NETZSCH TORNADO® T2 rotary lobe pump, sold as T.Envi®, T.Proc® and T.Sano® and used across Australia for biogas and digester feed, sewage and sludge, industrial process and food and beverage transfer. Unlike the gearbox-driven T1, the T2 uses an oil-free tooth belt to drive and synchronise the lobes, with pre-set cartridge seals and Full Service in Place access through the front cover, so tick what you need and we’ll match the parts to your nameplate (e.g. T.Envi 08/100).
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. TORNADO T2 wear parts are matched to pump size, version (T.Envi, T.Proc or T.Sano) and material, so your nameplate model and serial number are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work out the parts for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Rotary Lobes (Rotors) | The pair of straight bi-lobe rotors, elastomer-coated or all-metal. Replace when worn lobes let flow drop away at the same speed, or if cut or chunked by solids. | |
| Wear Plates (Front & Rear) | Replaceable plates either side of the lobes that protect the pump head. Renew with the lobes, or when grooving opens up the clearances. | |
| Radial Liners / Housing Crescents | Replaceable crescents lining the rotor case around the lobe path, so the housing itself does not wear. Change when worn, swollen or damaged by solids. | |
| Cartridge Mechanical Seal | Pre-set cartridge seal that fits without setting measurements, with single and double options. Replace at the first sign of leakage. | |
| Tooth Belt | The oil-free toothed belt that both drives and synchronises the two shafts. Replace if worn, cracked, stretched, or if the lobes start to touch. | |
| O-Ring & Gasket Set | Front cover, liner and seal O-rings in the elastomer to suit your product. Renew whenever the pump head is opened. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Front Cover | Removable cover with the integrated rotor setting device, giving full access to the pump chamber without disconnecting pipework. Replace if cracked or worn. | |
| Taper Lock Assemblies | Quick-fit, non-wetted taper locks outside the pump head that hold the lobes on the shafts. Replace if damaged or if a lobe has slipped. | |
| Bearings | Shaft bearings that hold the lobe clearances. Replace if noisy, running hot, or if shaft play lets the lobes rub. | |
| Shafts | Drive and driven shafts carrying the lobes and belt pulleys. Replace if worn at the seal or taper lock seats. | |
| Belt Pulleys | Toothed pulleys for the synchronising belt drive. Replace with the belt if the teeth are worn or damaged. | |
| Rotor Case | The pump housing around the lobes. Rarely needed when liners and wear plates have protected it. | |
| Drive Motor / Gear Motor | Motor or geared motor matched to your kW, speed and mounting, with variable speed options. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like TORNADO T2 from the model on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: TORNADO T2 parts depend on pump size, version (T.Envi elastomer-lined, T.Proc process or T.Sano all-metal hygienic), lobe and liner material, and seal arrangement. Your nameplate carries the model (e.g. T.Envi 08/100) and the serial number NETZSCH uses to trace the original build. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.
Models
Spare parts are available for every TORNADO T2 size; in a model like 08/100 the first figure is the pressure class in bar and the second the size, with each frame built in two pressure classes.

Troubleshooting
Flow drops at the same speed
Likely cause: worn lobes, radial liners or wear plates increasing internal slip, common on gritty sludge and digester feed. Action: check output against speed; remove the front cover and inspect the lobes, liners and wear plates in place; replace them as a set and re-set the lobes with the rotor setting device.
Lobes touching or knocking
Likely cause: a worn, stretched or damaged tooth belt letting the lobes drift out of phase, a slipped taper lock, or worn bearings. Action: inspect the belt and pulleys and replace if worn; check the taper locks are tight and re-set the lobe positions; check bearings for play.
Leaking at the shaft seal
Likely cause: worn seal faces from abrasives or extended dry running, or a failed quench or flush supply. Action: replace the pre-set cartridge seal and O-rings; restore the quench or flush where fitted.
Lobes or liners swelling or blistering
Likely cause: an elastomer not compatible with the product, or temperature above the elastomer’s limit. Action: confirm the product chemistry and temperature; replace the lobes and liners in a compatible elastomer, or move to an all-metal build.
Lobes cut or chunked
Likely cause: stones, metal or other hard foreign objects in the feed. Action: replace damaged lobes and liners; fit a stone trap or a macerator (such as NETZSCH M-Ovas or N.Mac) upstream on biogas and wastewater duties.
Motor overloads or high discharge pressure
Likely cause: pressure above the pump’s class (a closed valve or blocked line), or higher viscosity than designed. Action: check the discharge line and valves; confirm the pressure class on the nameplate (e.g. 04 or 08) suits the duty. Never run against a closed valve.
