SEEPEX BTM Hopper Pumps
Spare Parts for SEEPEX BTM Macerating Hopper Pumps
Product Summary
Genuine and compatible spare parts for the SEEPEX BTM, the open hopper pump with a cutting system built into the compression zone and extra blades on the feed screw, used to macerate fruit, vegetable and food waste into a pumpable flow. Tick the parts you need and we’ll match them to the type code on your nameplate.
Spare Parts List
✓ Tick the parts you need. SEEPEX parts are matched to the pump range, size, rotor/stator geometry, stator elastomer and shaft seal, so the type code and the commission number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.
| Select | Wear / Service Item | Function & when to replace |
|---|---|---|
| Common Service Kits | ||
| Rotor & Stator Set | The pumping elements. Replace together when output has dropped or the rotor is scored. | |
| Cutting Unit Wear Parts | The cutting elements in the compression casing and the blades on the feed screw. Replace when cut quality drops or blades are chipped. | |
| Joint Parts Set | Wear parts for both pin joints. Fit at every rotor/stator change. | |
| Shaft Seal & Gasket Set | Mechanical seal and housing gaskets. Renew whenever the pump is opened. | |
| Wear & Consumable Parts | ||
| Stator | The part that wears most. Replace when flow drops, after a dry run, or if the elastomer has swollen or torn. | |
| Rotor | Replace if scored, pitted or worn through its coating. | |
| Mechanical Seal | Replace at the first sign of leakage. | |
| Joint Grease | Fresh grease at every joint service. | |
| Other Core Parts | ||
| Feed Screw with Blades | The auger feed screw fitted with cutting blades. Replace if bent or worn. | |
| Coupling Rod | Carries the drive to the rotor. Replace if the bores are worn or the rod is bent. | |
| Compression Casing | The extended casing housing the cutting unit. Replace if worn or cracked. | |
| Drive Unit (gearmotor) | The flanged gearmotor (block design) or the separate drive train on bare-shaft builds. Matched to your kW, output speed and mounting so the replacement bolts straight on. | |
| Complete Replacement Pump | When a rebuild doesn’t stack up, we quote a like-for-like SEEPEX BTM hopper pump from the type code and commission number on your nameplate. | |
How we confirm the exact part: BTM parts depend on size, cutting system, rotor/stator geometry, elastomer and seal. Your nameplate carries the type code and commission number. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.

Troubleshooting
Pieces passing through uncut or the pump blocking
Likely cause: worn or chipped cutters and screw blades, or oversized feed. Action: inspect and replace the cutting unit wear parts and screw blades; check the feed size.
Pump runs but delivers little or nothing
Likely cause: worn stator and rotor, a blocked suction line, or speed too high for a viscous product (cavitation). Action: clear the suction line and check the speed against the duty; if output is still down, replace the stator (item 601), and the rotor (item 600) if it is scored.
Stator wears quickly or burns out
Likely cause: dry running, solids or grain size too large for the pump speed, or product temperature too high for the elastomer. Action: fit a new stator, reduce speed or screen the feed, keep the pump full at start-up and fit dry-run protection; SEEPEX also suggests an undersize rotor for hot duties.
Pump hard to turn or will not start after a stator change
Likely cause: stator swollen by an incompatible product, or product that has settled, gummed up or set inside the pump while it stood. Action: check the stator elastomer against the product and select a suitable material; rinse and clean the pump immediately after stopping, and heat it if the product hardens when cold.
Knocking or noise from the suction casing
Likely cause: worn joint parts or too much joint play, often with grease lost through a split joint sleeve. Action: renew the complete set of joint parts with SEEPEX pin joint grease and check the coupling rod bushings are correctly fitted.
Leaking at the shaft seal
Likely cause: a worn mechanical seal (sliprings or O-rings) or packing that is worn or set too tight. Action: check the sliprings and O-rings for wear and chemical resistance and renew the seal; on packed pumps adjust the gland or renew the packing rings.
