How we confirm the exact part: Part numbers on this page are as printed in the Tsurumi (Europe) parts lists for 50 Hz models, and service guidance is from the Tsurumi operation manual (B-10136-10). Voltage versions of some parts (for example motor protectors) differ, so send the nameplate details or a photo and we’ll confirm the right part before we quote.
Service Intervals & When to Replace
- Insulation: check the insulation at least once a year or every 3,000 hours. It should be over 20 MΩ; repair or replace the pump if it falls to 10 MΩ.
- Mechanical seal: if the seal-chamber oil is milky or has water drops, the mechanical seal needs replacing.
- Packing & O-rings: fit a new set every time the pump is opened.
- Cable: lift the pump by the handle, never the cable. A damaged cable must be replaced, not repaired.

Troubleshooting
Pump fails to start
Likely cause: (New/repaired pump) level control not calling, no power, impeller not free, insulation/winding fault; (Pump previously in use) as above, impeller more likely jammed by stone/debris. Action: Check level control is calling for start; Check power is available with multimeter/lamp/tool; Remove pump casing and check impeller rotates freely and quietly; At cable end (never open motor) check earth insulation over 20 M Ohm and winding continuity.
Pump starts but stops
Likely cause: Motor windings or cable damaged; Impeller blocked or choked; Wrong voltage or frequency; Voltage too low; Inexact generator frequency; Liquid of excessive viscosity or density; Wrong setting or thermal overload at power source. Action: Do not open motor; check as above; Check voltage under load.
Pump's head and flow are lower than originally
Likely cause: Restriction in piping or resistance in discharge conduit (too high, too long, too small, too dirty inside); Impeller worn, partially choked or severely narrowed by hard deposits; Strainer or inlet blocked; Pump draws air, or liquid partly volatile or high gas content. Action: Correct the listed cause (manual gives causes only).
Pump generates noise or vibration
Likely cause: Impeller severely damaged, or bearing damaged; Pump lying on its side and drawing a little air. Action: Repair at once; High wear rate likely - reposition pump.
