How we confirm the exact part: Part numbers on this page are as printed in the Tsurumi (Europe) parts lists for 50 Hz models, and service guidance is from the Tsurumi operation manual (B-10216-1 and B-10140-10). Voltage versions of some parts (for example motor protectors) differ, so send the nameplate details or a photo and we’ll confirm the right part before we quote.
Service Intervals & When to Replace
- Mechanical seal: check the oil every 6 months or 3,000 hours (KRS-200 and agitator types: every 6 months or 2,000 hours). If it is milky or has water in it, the mechanical seal is letting water in and needs replacing.
- Oil: change it every 12 months or 6,000 hours (KRS-200 and agitator types: every 12 months or 4,000 hours) with turbine oil VG32 (non-additive), to the volume in the table above.
- Packing & O-rings: fit a new set every time the pump is opened or inspected.
- Impeller & suction cover: a clear drop in head or flow usually means a worn impeller or a blocked strainer. Worn impellers have sharp edges, so handle with gloves, and check the impeller turns freely without rubbing after refitting.
- Overhaul: Tsurumi recommends a full overhaul every 2 to 5 years, even if the pump seems fine.

Troubleshooting
Pump will not start
Likely cause: Power is off; Cabtyre cable cut or not connected properly; Impeller clogged. Action: Turn power on; Repair/replace cable or fix connection; Inspect pump and remove debris.
Pump stops soon after starting (motor protector operates)
Likely cause: Impeller clogged; Low voltage; Wrong power frequency; Extended operation with clogged strainer; Faulty motor (burning, water infiltration, etc.); Motor protection system triggered. Action: Remove debris; Provide rated voltage or use cabtyre extension of proper standard; Check nameplate and replace pump; Remove debris from strainer; Repair or replace motor; For heavy liquid or other high loads, upgrade impeller.
Poor lift or discharge capacity (printed 'Pool life or dischage capacity')
Likely cause: Worn out impeller; Sharply bent or clogged hose; Strainer stand clogged or buried; Motor direction reversed; Wrong power frequency. Action: Repair or replace worn parts; Straighten sharp bends; enclose pump with a screen to keep debris away; Remove debris from strainer stand or place a block under the pump; Interchange power supply leads (per p.11); Check nameplate and replace pump.
Heavy vibration or noise
Likely cause: Damaged motor shaft. Action: Contact dealer and replace motor.
