Product Summary

Genuine OEM spare parts for the Verderflex Rapide family of peristaltic tube pumps (Rapide, Rapide S and Rapide 5000), used across Australia for chemical dosing, water treatment, food and beverage and general industrial transfer. The tube is the only part that touches the liquid and the main consumable, backed by the rotor and rollers, tube clamps and pump head parts, so tick what you need and we’ll match the parts to your model and serial number, such as Rapide 5000.

Type: Peristaltic tube pump Variants: Rapide · Rapide S · Rapide 5000 Max delivery pressure: 2 bar Tubing: Verderprene · silicone Liquids up to 80°C

Spare Parts List

✓ Tick the parts you need. Verderflex Rapide parts are matched to the pump variant, pump head and tube size and material, so the model and serial number on your nameplate are all we need to get them right. Not sure which items? Add a photo of the nameplate and we’ll work it out for you.

SelectWear / Service ItemFunction & when to replace
Common Service Kits
Tube Element (Rapide ref 3)The U-shaped tube the rollers squeeze; the only wetted part. Verderprene for general duties or silicone for high-sterility work. Change when flow has fallen about 25%, or if the tube is damaged or burst.
Continuous Tube / Tube Element (Rapide 5000 ref 2)Rapide 5000 tubing, either a continuous tube or a tube element in its own housing. Wall thickness must suit the rotor assembly; change on the same 25% flow-loss rule or after a burst.
Rotor Assembly (Rapide ref 5)The roller rotor that compresses the tube, fixed to the shaft with a grub screw. Inspect at every tube change and renew if rollers are worn or rough, as worn surfaces shorten tube life.
Roller and Rotor Assembly (Rapide S ref 5)The Rapide S rotor carrying the rollers that the tube sits on under the saddle. Renew if rollers are worn, flat-spotted or binding; one per channel on multi-channel heads.
Rotor Assembly with Rollers (Rapide 5000 ref 3)Push-fit rotor with main rollers (3.2) plus vertical and horizontal guide rollers (3.1, 3.3) that track the tube. Must match the tube wall thickness; renew when rollers wear or tubes keep failing early.
Wear & Consumable Parts
Tube Clamp Assembly (Rapide ref 4)Holds the tube in place at the pump housing, aligned with the marks on the tube. Renew if it no longer grips and the tube creeps through the head.
Clamping Assembly (Rapide S ref 3)Tube clamps in the lower pump head, tensioned by thumb-screw or screwdriver slot to stop the tube walking toward the discharge. Renew worn clamps or screws.
Tube Clamp (Rapide 5000 ref 6)The upper and lower clamps that lock the tube in the Rapide 5000 head once it is drawn in. Renew if cracked or if the tube will not stay put.
Saddle (Rapide S ref 8)The tube saddle that presses the tube onto the rollers, locked by the ski-boot lever. It must suit the tube wall thickness; a mismatch gives low flow or short tube life.
Connectors (Rapide ref 2)Inlet and outlet connectors that join the tube to your pipework. Renew if cracked, leaking or attacked by the liquid.
Bearing (Rapide ref 7 / Rapide S ref 11)Supports the drive shaft behind the pump head. Check for play at the annual inspection and renew if rough, noisy or loose.
Front Cover (Rapide ref 1 / Rapide S ref 2)The clear cover over the pump head so you can see rotation and tube condition. Renew if cracked, crazed or no longer sealing the head.
Other Core Parts
Pump Body / Back Plate (Rapide ref 6, Rapide S ref 12)The pump head body (Rapide) or back plate (Rapide S) that forms the tube track and carries the bearing. Renew if the track is worn or damaged, as rough surfaces cause early tube failure.
Drive Shaft & Adaptor Sleeve (Rapide refs 8, 9)Drive shaft and adaptor sleeve linking the gearbox to the rotor, retained by an external cir-clip. Renew if the shaft is worn, scored or the keyway is damaged.
Drive Shaft & Coupling Bush (Rapide S refs 9, 10)Drive shaft and coupling bush between gearbox and rotor on the Rapide S. Renew if worn or if the drive slips or knocks.
Ski Boot Handle & Catch (Rapide S refs 6, 7)The lever and catch that lock the saddle over its dowels. Renew if the lever no longer holds the saddle firmly.
Bearing Strut, Pump Door & Lock (Rapide 5000 refs 1, 4, 9, 10)The bearing strut that supports the rotor, plus the pump door, key-operated lock and unlock key. Renew if damaged; extra keys are available on request.
Gearbox & MotorThe gearmotor that drives the head (Rapide refs 11, 12; Rapide S refs 15, 16; Rapide 5000 refs 7, 8). Matched to your speed and supply from the nameplate.

How we confirm the exact part: Verderflex Rapide parts depend on the variant (Rapide, Rapide S or Rapide 5000), the pump head and number of channels, and the tube size, wall thickness and material. The refs shown are the item numbers in the exploded views of the Verderflex Rapide manual (each variant has its own numbering); Verderflex asks for the pump model (e.g. Rapide 5000), year of manufacture and serial number when ordering. Tick the items above and add a nameplate photo, and we’ll confirm the correct parts for your exact pump.

Models

The Verderflex tube pump nameplate carries the serial number; tell us which Rapide variant you have (printed on the pump head or your paperwork) along with that serial number.

From the Verderflex Rapide operating manual (version 2.1v-10/2020), Appendix A and exploded views. Speed depends on model; liquids above 80°C are not recommended. Tube options listed: Verderprene (general purpose) and silicone (high sterility). The manual prints item refs but no Verderflex part numbers, so exact part numbers are confirmed from your serial number.

Troubleshooting

Low flow or low discharge pressure

Likely cause: tube too soft for the duty (inner diameter too large for its wall thickness), or viscosity too high. Action: fit a thicker-wall tube of the same bore (may need a different saddle or rotor assembly) or run the pump slower with a larger bore tube.

Low flow on a suction lift

Likely cause: suction lift too high, so the tube does not fully recover its round shape. Action: use a thicker-wall tube, shorten or enlarge the suction line, or use a bigger pump running slower.

Flow falls away against back pressure

Likely cause: discharge pressure too high, causing backflow past the rollers. Action: reduce discharge pressure and review the pipework layout.

Tube walks through the pump head

Likely cause: tube outer diameter too small for the head, tube not fitted correctly, or wall thickness wrong for the rotor. Action: adjust the tube clamp tension, refit the tube, and use tubing of the correct outer diameter and wall thickness.

Tubes fail early

Likely cause: tube wall thickness does not match the rotor assembly (or saddle), or non-standard tubing is fitted. Action: fit genuine Verderflex tubing matched to the rotor assembly, or change the rotor to suit the tube.

Excessive noise or tube burst not detected

Likely cause: pulsation from tight pipe bends, or a dirty optical burst sensor on the Rapide 5000. Action: remove small-radius bends near the pump and clean the burst sensor and head rim at every tube change.
