How we confirm the exact part: Ebsray parts are ordered by name, Cat # and quantity against the pump serial number on the nameplate, as each IOM instructs, because materials, seals and options vary by build. Cat numbers on this page are as printed in the current Ebsray installation, operation and maintenance instructions (IOMs). Send the serial number or a nameplate photo and we’ll confirm the right genuine parts before we quote.

Service Intervals & When to Replace

  • Inspection philosophy: Wear in Ebsray internal gear pumps tends to compensate, so worn parts may still have useful life if performance has been satisfactory and burrs are removed. A major refurbishment should bring the pump back to as-new condition, because changing one part affects the working clearances.
  • Clearances: Check the outer rotor in the body, the shaft in the bracket bearing and the inner rotor to the crescent (feeler gauge across the full tooth width) against the Table of Clearances. Reset rotor axial clearance with the lockring procedure in Section 4.7.
  • Lubrication: The inner rotor and bracket sleeve bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. The ball bearing is greased with lithium-base grease at assembly and normally needs new grease only at major maintenance.
  • Packed glands: Make the final gland adjustment with the pump running – a small amount of seepage is normal, too tight generates heat and too loose leaks. The HD models use eight rings of 12.7 mm square packing with one lantern ring.
  • Gaskets, seals and O-rings: Ebsray recommends replacing all gaskets, seals and O-rings at every overhaul. Keep mechanical seal lapped faces clean, locate the drive pins and fasten the seal plate evenly.

Models

This page covers Ebsray HD Series pumps. The model, type and serial number are on the pump nameplate; Ebsray matches spares to the serial number.

Troubleshooting

Pump fails to prime or deliver

Likely cause: An empty supply tank, wrong rotation, low speed, high discharge head, excessive inlet restriction, air leaks, a bypass valve held open by debris or set too low, a blocked strainer, or vapour that cannot clear against static head. Action: Check the tank, rotation and speed (line voltage and phases), check NPSH with a vacuum or compound gauge, seal inlet air leaks, and clear the strainer and the bypass valve seat.

Low output

Likely cause: High discharge head, entrained air, a restrictive strainer, undersized pipes, a bypass setting that is too low, insufficient NPSH, excess rotor-to-cover axial clearance, or clearances worn open. Action: Raise the bypass setting (without exceeding pump or system design pressure or overloading the motor), reset the rotor axial clearance as per Section 4.7, and recondition if worn.

Excessive power consumption

Likely cause: Differential pressure above rating (or the bypass set too high), higher than specified viscosity, binding rotating parts, worn bearings, obstructed lines or part-open valves, high speed or low voltage. Action: Clear the obstructions and open the valves, check viscosity, speed and supply voltage, check the clearances and replace worn bearings.

Pump is noisy

Likely cause: Cavitation, binding rotating parts, pump and driver misalignment, or mechanical damage such as galling or foreign objects. Action: Increase NPSH by removing inlet restrictions, raising static head or reducing viscosity, realign the coupling, and dismantle and inspect if you suspect galling.

Ebsray HD Series spare parts: frequently asked questions

Tap a question to see the answer.

What spare parts are listed for Ebsray HD Series pumps?

Each section follows the parts designation list in the Ebsray IOM for that model or pump type (HD300, HD400 and HD600), with the Cat # as printed. Seals come first, then the main wearing parts, bearings, O-rings and gaskets, valve parts and the main castings.

How do I order the right parts for my Ebsray pump?

Ebsray matches spares to the serial number on the pump nameplate, together with the part name, Cat # and quantity. Tick the parts you need, pick your model in the quote form and add a nameplate photo, and we will confirm the exact genuine parts before quoting.

Pump fails to prime or deliver: what should I check?

Check the tank, rotation and speed (line voltage and phases), check NPSH with a vacuum or compound gauge, seal inlet air leaks, and clear the strainer and the bypass valve seat. The troubleshooting table on this page lists the other likely causes.

Do you supply parts for other Ebsray pumps?

Yes. We list parts for Ebsray LPG regenerative turbine, rotary vane and internal gear pumps. See our Ebsray internal gear pumps or all Ebsray spare parts by series. Not sure which series you have? Send a nameplate photo and we’ll identify it.
